Kuta, Bali - The Famous Beach

It seems that almost all the time, Kuta pops up on top of the itinerary when you begin to plan their visits to Bali. "If you were in Kuta, have not been to Bali," as the saying goes.

is often confusing when you mention the word Kuta. Just try doing a Google search, and it will return at least as many hotels and restaurants. Officially speaking, Google is right. After all, actually represents the name of Kuta district of Bali, which covers a total area of 17.52 km2. But the heart of Kuta - where all the excitement happens, children are building their castle, the fellows were picking up surfing - extends only about 1 km long

If you prefer something a little on the budget, but big in taste, there is a food court is situated right in the middle of Jalan Raya Pantai Kuta. You can choose from Chinese seafood with traditional Indonesian food in the West. Just be prepared to aggressively courted stall vendors. They will not force you to buy, just politely tell them you want to look around first before deciding to pick up.

As you continue to head down the road, a little more decent hotels - Grand Istana Rama Kuta Seaview Cottages and Kuta Bali Hotel - add to your list of accommodation choices. Choose one of the hotel (the main street) if you want to spend all day doing nothing but hanging out at Kuta Beach. Otherwise, smaller (but not the origin) and hotels and inns offer a more budget-friendly alternatives.

Kuta Beach

Hundreds of thousands of tourists visiting Kuta Beach each year. Absent any major disruption or disaster, the beach is crowded throughout the year. This is where many Balinese (and even immigrants from countries as far away as Java and Sumatera) is dependent on for their livelihood.

After the Queen Royale and you start feeling hungry, try some of the stalls. There's a sweet Royak (Javanese style), nasi Padang (Sumatera), our uduk (Jakarta), baksa (Obama says it is delicious). When you are thirsty, give Botol (bottled iced tea) a try. But he cautioned that these stands do not come with a guarantee of hygiene. So try them at your own risk and if you think your stomach can cooperate with the palate.

just sits one of the stalls, enjoying the gentle touch of sea breezes and watching all kinds of people - age, race, nationality, and fashion - make my day. In the evening you can sit back, relax and watch the sun disappears from view.

s so much to see, do, try and discover it is not surprising Kuta is probably one of the most famous beaches in the world.
